Local business leaders and area young professionals are invited to participate in an after-work meet and greet in the Clubhouse at Kokopelli.
13Pro, a southern Illinois young professional’s organization aims to develop, connect, engage, and retain young professionals in the southern Illinois area. The Feb. 28 event aims to reinforce the organization’s goals by connecting young professionals and local business leaders.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss trending topics in today’s business world such as personal branding, utilizing social media to advance a business, learning about starting a business in Illinois, and utilizing local chambers of commerce.

Late last spring a small group of young Southern Illinois professionals gathered with an idea. For years the region’s business community had relied in part on their local chamber of commerce offices and civic groups to create networking opportunities to help raise their profile and boost their bottom line.
But this group of upstarts saw a need beyond what those groups could provide.
